Allegiance Wines has sourced his exceptional parcel of Tempranillo from the premium Australian wine region of Barossa Valley. Whole berry open fermentation with a cultured yeast for 9 days on skins. Pressed to tank for 3 days then to 3 and 4 year old French Oak barrels for 12 months. This wine is an excellent example of the outstanding results possible, when an allegiance between growers and winemakers creates their best expression of the varietal and vintage. Dedication
|
Dedicated to those who are doing it tough.
My friend Jamie Brown grew up in Tintenbar and he was a fighter. A successful amateur boxer in his youth, Jamie found his greatest fight would be against the cancer he faced in his early forties. His focus and tenacity in taking on this indiscriminate disease was an inspiration to family and friends. Jamie’s journey touched all who knew him and although he ultimately succumbed, his display of courage and dignity enriched the people he left behind. Jamie’s family still resides in Tintenbar today.
Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather that something else is more important than fear. Ambrose Redmoon.

Reviews

91 points – Sam Kim, Wine Orbit Lovely juicy fruit aromas of dark cherry and strawberry together with subtle notes of floral, game and almond lead to a beautifully rounded palate that is succulent and smooth. It is elegantly complex with sweet fruit flavours, finishing silky and persistent. At its best: now to 2024.
90 points – Stephen Read, Wine Matrix The colour is intense deep ruby red, with aromas of earthy tones, savoury notes, plums, sweet dark fruits, and cherries all add to the complexity of the nose. The palate follows with smooth tannins, plums and cherries. Green apple acid and spice add texture and balance, with a complex long finish. Enjoy now or cellar for 3 to 5 years
